Emelina and JJ, she loves this baby with every ounce of her being. She's always around him, hates to leave him and just wants to hold, love and feed him all the time! She's a good little momma :)

Another of her just hanging around him :)

JJ enjoying his bouncer :) He is finally starting to like it but is now sleeping in his car seat! lol

He had a doctors appointment last Friday. He was so happy when I laid him down on the table. I didn't get him going at full speed sadly. But he was pumping his arms and legs, talking, gurgling and all that jazz. When Dr Sakmar came in he was even laughing. He said I think he's happy to see me! Doubt that but it was cute!

Updates

This was him today! He's getting so big and he is smiling and talking! He's 7 lbs 2 oz as of last Monday. We will find out again in a couple weeks how big he's grown! He's doing so well and he's such a joy to have around! Can't imagine my life without him. Seems like he's been here forever and it's only been a month!

This is Lily and Peyton. Or Bob as Lily likes to call her! They were best buddies when I was in the hospital They are so cute! And "bob" is a lot younger than Lily (about a year) and look at the two of them! Shows you how tiny Lily is. Peyton is your average height and weight (she's so cute she looks just like her mom!) They should get together and play more often!

Here is my oldest Katie. She was so worried that we wouldn't love her now that we have a boy. But she was wrong. This picture just proves that to me. When I see this my heart melts. She is such a sweet and loving girl. She causes problems but I love her dearly and so glad she is mine!

Mothers day

I don't think it was made for mothers. I've been a mother for 11 years, almost 12 and I've never had a good one. It's like birthdays, they are no better than other days. My kids plant me flowers in school bring it home and lily destroys it. So I have screaming kids, rather have a cup of dirt. That's fine, dirt never hurt anyone.

Then we realize we don't have gas in either car, need diapers (thank god i have a kmart gift certificate) and well things are rough. So we fight and argue about it cause well that's all the men can do in the house.

Then the kids all leave! They all just left, came back 4 hours later and screamed at me cause dinner wasn't on the table! WELL THEY CAN COOK IT!

Josue is cooking dinner but he's so slow! Then he feeds Jose (brother) first! WTH is he a mother? Is he his wife? So now I feel like crap. Always knew I was last but this just confirmed it.

Well, may go to bed without eating. Oh I forgot I'll be up all night with a screaming baby. Don't get me wrong I love that tiny little man but no one else ever cares for him. Josue did for 2 hours while Lily was in er the other day and he acts like he's the only one! Well he's never changed a diaper, never gotten up in the middle of the night, never changed his clothes, sheets, oh you get the drift. OMG he works 25-30 hours a week (not his fault he'd work 70 hours if you let him) and he acts like he's SO tired. come on 5 hours a day? My job is 24 hours, thankless, no one pays me, I'm a doctor, nurse, teacher, police officer, barmaid, cook, wet nurse (ok bottle nurse), but you get the drift. And all I wanted is one day of peace. Who said being a mom was easy?

Updates!!

Things are going pretty well over here. We took JJ to the doctor when he was 7 days old and he put on a few oz. went from 5 lbs 3 oz at birth to 5 lbs 1 oz a couple days later. Buy that Friday after I was released he was 5 lbs 5 oz and this past friday (at 2 weeks) he was 5 lbs 12 oz! So hes doing great! He did need to come out pretty bad apparently. It's sad but if I had carried him longer what would have happened to him? He's got such a big personality already. I know they say newborns don't do that and they don't smile. BULL!!! He's not a huge smiler yet, but my sister kathleen got him smiling at the hospital and I did last night! Can't believe he'll be 3 weeks old soon :( Getting bigger and older and I can't stop it! lol

The other girls are looking forward to school ending. Only thing is they want to go to summer school. Here they have a great program and if they don't miss any days of summer school they get 100.00 but now with the state cut backs they may not get to go to summer school since they'll have to charge 110.00 a week! that's more than our pad rent for a month for just one week of school! that's crazy!

Katie is looking forward to Florida with her aunts and cousin. She's so bad though makes me wish i could threaten her with well you won't go but she's not stupid especially since she knows that kathleen already paid for her ticket! We were hoping for that 100.00 to help Kathleen with the cost and thing that katie needs and the way things are going around here we may not have he money to give her! we need a new washing machine (went to the flea market to see over this weekend) and our room is hot so we need another window unit for in there cause the baby sweats! He had an interview and is working but they don't give him enough hours. the other brother moved out so we don't have money from him helping with the bills anymore but things will be fine.

Well I better go, JJ is calling! lol

He's Here!!!

This pregnancy just flew except for the last couple days. Thing went well. Wed we got up and got to the hospital by 5 like they told us only to be told surgery had been pushed back. I was upset but oh well and we could have slept an hour longer! Then Dr Ricketts was late. I was starting to get upset. I kno things happen but I was hungry, thirsty and scared like I am all the time i have surger.

They walked me back into the operating room and the lady to do the spinal was waiting for me. Ok this is flight time!! I warned them and they were all so kind to me. The surger went great! Unlike with Dr Pearson I didn't feel anything I shouldn't have. Pressure and that yes and my ribs are a little bruised. He was high they had no choice and boy was that uncomfortable when they were trying to get him down. But he came. The whole surgery was like 40 minutes long but didn't feel that long. Dr Ricketts was talking and they were joking and even talked to me! Both OBs were fast, efficient and really good at what they do. They also counted everything back to be sure nothing was left insde and they did it so that I could hear which I thought was really nice.

My little stinker was born Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 9:35 a.m. He was 5 lbs 3 oz and 17 1/2 inches long. He's a beautiful little doll and he's thriving! Good idea to have him a whole week earlier!

I'm a little sore. But that's to be expected. It's worse than Lily but you know thats normal with each other csection. My incision is bleeding a little and i'm not putting out enough. But we will see what will happen.

Thank you for supporting me, cheering me on for the past year!

A date and nerves

Well we have a date! April 21 is the official date first thing in the morning! That is if things don't happen on their own of course, then I'll be having him sooner since they really don't want me in labor. But that's only a week from my due date 5 weeks from tomorrow! I'm so ready to be back to just me and to have him in my arms instead :). I'm tired of 2 to 3 doc appointments every week. I just want to sit home, not go anywhere and veg out a bit! He's doing great and getting bigger. I look like a house! I haven't been this big since Emelina and he's going to be small lol. Go figure. I've lost so much weight though and he's sitting really high so it makes it look like he's huge!

He's a little stinker though. Everytime I go to get monitored he's all over the place, we lose him and then they feed me to get him moving like they want (they want accelerated heart rates) and he flies off the monitor! What good did that do! But he's growing, doing what he's supposed to and my numbers have come down a bit. The nurse said that could just be hormones calming down they do that between 34 and 36 weeks. So we will see. I don't think they will be upping my dosages on the insulin at all so I think we've done very well! But I can't wait to have that snickers bar and cafe mocha :)

Everything here is ready, and i'm starting to nest. I was up this morning at 5:30 cleaning lol. Go figure, the one thing I hate to do! But the house is looking better. Now if I can just get my husband to work things would be better. He's trying but until Thursday he's still working through the temp company. We'll see!

A boring saturday afternoon

We had somewhat of a boring Saturday afternoon. Didn't know what to do and the kids were restless and well we didn't want to spend money. So we went to the wild bird sanctuary (we did give a 5.00 donation always do to help the birds) and Lone Elk Park. The birds were beautiful and the bison we actually got to see and some wild turkeys as well. But didn't see any deer or elk in the park like we normally would. They must have been cold and hiding somewhere.

The kids had a great time and enjoyed themselves. Especially Lily. She's getting older and starting to realize things around her and she noticed those bison and got all excited! And she loved the macaw in the bird sanctuary! He's my favorite too and if they weren't so expensive and I didn't have small children I'd have one too!

Most of the birds were hurt and can't be released back into the wild so they keep them and use them to raise awareness while giving them a good life to live. The bald eagle was beautiful and was just stretching his wings before this shot.

Emelina being a ham of course! You see her missing tooth and the one next to it just started coming down. It was so cute with her having no front teeth!

Lily was excited about the bison! She thought they were cool and they had babies with them too so she's yelling baby baby here! Can't wait to see what she does at the hospital. She loves her babies!

Not a great picture of the bison but they were laying right by the road. But my windows need to be cleaned (kids and their fingers!)

Had to show this one. If you notice the duck on the right side he's butt up! Must have been diving for a fish! Kind of neat to get him while he was doing that since I really wasn't trying! lol

It's been a bit

Been a very very busy time for me. Got everything for baby. I mean everything but some more diapers and a few cans of formula! He's basically ready to go, he just needs to stay in there for a bit and I'm at that stage were anything can happen.

The kids are doing well. Katie has her friends, Emelina is doing so much better in school from what I can see and Hailey well she's Hailey! Lily is getting big, but not literally just more mature. She's so tiny, it reminds me of Hailey.

Josue goes back to work on April 1st unless the weather heats up sooner. Then they could call him back sooner (please please please) but we've basically weathered the storm! We just need to find him an evening job that he can have after boathouse in October. Something is bound to come up right?

An update for those following :)

We have scheduled the baby date!! I'm not saying it on here due to privacy issues but will let you know if you know how and where to get ahold of me ;) I lost another 6 lbs as well. The nurse laughed and said well this is different! normally women gain that much in a month! lol Well on that stupid diet i'm on i'm sure he's getting everything! Sometimes it feels as if I don't eat at all! But i'm fine and so is he so that's what matters! Go back in 2 weeks for a monitor and then back to the ob for a regular check up!

A few things

I had an ultrasound on Wed morning and had to bring all 4 kids! They had a snow day and well they were pretty good :) The baby is now 2 lbs 6 oz which they said is not big but not small. I'm figuring if he keeps this rate up we will be at 6/7 lbs at birth and that's perfect :) He isn't breech anymore but they couldn't get the 4d of his face :( He was turned the wrong way lol. He's a stinker already!

We then came home and I was checking my emails when I got one from my mom #2 (yes i have two moms cause i'm lucky like that ;) ) and her Uncle Jack died. Uncle Jack was a good sweet man. I didn't know him as well as I would like to of. He was always quiet and I always felt I was intruding when I tried to talk to him. But he sat there with Josue one christmas and made Josue laugh the entire night. He was a riot sometimes when you finally got him going. He's going to be very much missed in our family.

Well that's about all that's going on, have a doc appointment on monday (funeral is on monday too) but we will have to see what happens if Josue works or not. It's going to be very long and tiresome.

Things

Today is going to be one of those days. You know the kind that all you want to do is stick your head in the sand like an ostrich? Well that's today! My mother, who has been through breast cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and more throughout her life had to have another kind of test done today. I'm probably more nervous than her in a way. I hate being the one sitting here waiting. I want to know, be there and yes part of it is that I'm nosey and the other part is impatience. I just hate knowning I can't do anything for her but pray. Praying is a lot and I'm not underestimating it but I'd love to have been there for her. I hope she's ok, it was at 11 and if things started fine she should be done. I hope things look well, and she's feeling ok.

Nothing exciting

Just Dropping a post off about nothing exciting. No really, things are stressful but calm around here. Wish they would find jobs or the temp company would work them again but........ oh well. Baby is fine, we finally got to hear the heart beat. Placenta is in the front making that harder to do but he's in there and doing fine. I go back in a month and have to have a blood test done whooo hooo. Just want I want another bruise from the stupid blood people. grrrr

25 weeks!

He's doing great! He's 1 lb 7 oz and is in the 32cd percentile which they say is excellent especially since I'm diabetic and insulin dependent! He has no birth defects that can be seen (he's perfect!) He was flipping and a flopping and yes he's still breech. And I've been such a nervous nelly for weeks cause there are times I can't feel him move! Well that's cause the placenta is anterior (it's in the front) but it's high so they aren't to worried :)

And yes he's still a boy! lol Darn pregnancy nightmares! Getting together items for a boy is harder than I thought especially since i keep expecting them to say his bits fell off!

Long time no see!

All right! Someone stole my pc this afternoon!!!! Well, I thought fine, I need to clean up and Maggie was coming over (don't mind my mess lol) She was having a grand time playing, dancing and yelling at Dora. Then I had to use the restroom................
So she decided to use Emelina's Lipstick!! lol Serves me right huh?

Venting post

Ok, this is just a vent! But why is it that a large school district gets 1,800 h1n1 vaccines, has a fridge malfunction and then receive 2500 more when our district hasn't gotten any yet. We are in a large district as well. It doesn't make any sense really. Why are those children more important than ours? I know it's not their fault, it was a fridge malfunction. It could have happened to anyone. I don't blame them for that. But why do they get more, when some schools haven't had the chance to get any?

Now my children have had one of their shots. So we are luckier than a lot of families around here. So it's not really my family I'm upset for. It's for their friends who are getting swine flu, getting sick and being out of school for 2 weeks! Thankfully, none of their friends had severe cases that we are aware of. But they all need these shots and we all need equal chances at them. Personally Jefferson county is doing very well handing them out. Better than the county from what I see. But still it would be nice that our kids can have a chance at the school level to get one as well.

Something funny and something sweet!

this is at 12 weeks or 12.3 weeks lol The baby is def. bigger than it was before and the results for the screen aren't back yet but.....it looks like a good result so far. 1.0 on the down syndrom test :)

Meet Luna, she likes to push things off my desk, she likes to sit there and attack my hands, the mouse and the cursor! I think she thinks it's funny!

ultra sound!

Well! This is it!! It's a positive! Can't tell you when though he got 2 different dates lol Both a week off so I have to go back in 2 weeks to see what is what. But he did see the heart beating! He didn't stop to get how fast/slow or beat count. But he said this early it's all fast and it'll change in 2 weeks and that's the one he wants to get but he just wanted to make sure the heart was in fact beating and yes it's only one (thank god lol) he he he Get that Gail! One baby!! he he he he he he

He's keeping me at my date of April 29, 2010 until the next ultrasound. But it'll probably stay the same. So my little bean is in there, thriving, and doing what it's supposed to!!
